Montgomery Security & Investigation was founded by O. M. (Monty) Montgomery on March 31, 1969, serving the central business district of Washington Court House. During the 1970's and 1980's MSI continued to grow by taking on the responsibilities of Loss Prevention and Asset Protection for manufacturing facilities. In 1984 Monty's son, George, joined him in business. In 1986 George purchased MSI from his father and was licensed by the State of Ohio as a Security Guard provider and Private Investigator.

In 1992 the third generation Montgomery joined the business. With the addition of Keith Montgomery, MSI continued to grow by expanding its interest into areas other than manufacturing and by seeking business outside Fayette County Ohio. With a second-generation owner and a third generation operator Montgomery Security & Investigation developed into a quality leader of security and investigative services in south central Ohio

January 1, 2001, George decided it was time to slow down and take time to enjoy life. He sold the business to his son, Keith, establishing a third generation owner. Keith incorporated the business and established MSFs first office outside the family home environment. Today, MSI has offices in Columbus, Springfield, and Washington Court House.

With Keith Montgomery at the helm, MSI is sure to become the benchmark for other companies in the industry to set their standards by.
